Stuffed cabbage


Stuffed cabbage - widely Ukrainian second course dish that is prepared from leaves of fresh or sour cabbage and filling of meat, rice. The name of this dish - old and originates from the word "dove".
 
Stuffed cabbage with meat in Ukrainian

Ingredients: 1 kg. beef - 1.2 kg. fresh cabbage, 4 tablespoons. tablespoons rice, 2 onions, 3 tbsp. tablespoons butter, salt, pepper - to taste. For the sauce: 1/2 cup sour cream, 2,5 cups beef broth, 1 tbsp. tablespoon wheat flour and butter.
Cooking: a head cabbage off the upper leaves, washed and stem cut out, put in salted boiling water and leave for 10-15 minutes. After the cabbage is taken out, cooled and stripped to separate leaves.

Meat is passed through a meat grinder, adding stewed rice, fried onion, pepper, salt, mixed thoroughly, placed on the prepared cabbage leaves roll their edges and a little rectangular shape.
 
The bottom of the pan spread cabbage leaves on top of stack tightly stuffed, put black pepper and bay leaves to taste, pour sour cream sauce, covered with leaves and ready.
 
Preparing the sauce. Flour is fried in butter, add sour cream, dissolved with hot beef, suggest 2-3 minutes on low heat, salt.
